Melissa Benoist
Melissa Marie Benoist Jenner (; born October 4, 1988)〔http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/next-gen-fall-tv-10-817493〕 is an American actress and singer best known for her portrayal of the title character in the CBS series ''Supergirl''.
She rose to prominence for her portrayal of Marley Rose on the fourth and fifth seasons of the Fox musical comedy-drama television series ''Glee'', and has also appeared in a number of television series including ''Homeland'', ''The Good Wife'' and ''Law & Order''.
==Early life==
Melissa Benoist was born in Harris County, Texas, and was raised in Littleton, Colorado, the daughter of Jim and Julie Benoist. Benoist has two full sisters, Jessica and Kristina. From her father's re-marriage, she has five half-siblings: Tanner, Estella, Coco, Rocket and Tor. She graduated from Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado in 2007,〔(Congratulations, Arapahoe High School grads ) May 2007〕 and from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City in 2011.〔(From MMC to McKinley High: Alumna Melissa Benoist ) October 2012.〕
